Tarot Readings

Hello, my name is Megan. I began my journey with the Tarot at 12 years old in 2001. My grandmother is also a psychic medium/channel/tarot reader, and she gave me my first deck at that time. I grew up going to my grandmother's psychic center, surrounded by mystics, channels, astrologers, reiki healers and tarot readers practicing all forms of divination. At first I just saw the tarot as a game, or a "parlor trick" to impress people at parties, but as I began to study the tarot, and practice it regularly (on myself as well as friends), I came to see that the messages had merit. Not only that, but had predicted the future on more than one occasion. The testimonials I was receiving (even at that tender age) was enough for me to take it more seriously.

 

In college I did readings for friends or clients who heard about my gifts from word of mouth. I was studying acting and psychology in college, but tarot remained a fascination and a regular practice. People always told me I should go professional, but I shrugged it off as my focus was on the arts throughout my twenties.  I had an active stage career as well as some film and Televison productions under my belt. Modeling was something I just sort of fell into (having so many photographer friends). It was a magical time, but I still felt like something important was missing.

Having gone through a spiritual awakening in 2008  where I came to understand my own intuitive gifts. Practiced and studied the tarot regularly from that point until 2015 when I began to freelance as a tarot reader. Gradually over time I gained popularity from doing private parties, corporate events, weddings, individual client readings, as well as immersive theater productions (such as "The Speakeasy" at the Palace Theater in San Francisco).  I experienced my Saturn return in 2016 (or "the dark night of the soul" as some call it)  which led to a long period of self-exploration.

Through these experiences I came to realize that a large part of my soul’s contract here on earth is to help others. Having seen the tarot unravel mysteries before my own eyes, providing catharsis for those who's soul is troubled or unable to let go. I have seen clarity dawn over the faces of my clients as they come to realize something important about themselves or a specific situation. The tarot is designed to mirror various psychological states of being, as well as archetypes of human experience. The way the cards fall however... is divine guidance. The probability of drawing the same card twice in a row would be 1 in 78, or approximately 1.3%. That's just in a "one card" spread. This means that every full card reading is entirely unique, like a snowflake.

The Southern Oracle was a YouTube channel I had been planning to make since 2020. The channel focuses on pick a card readings, as well as historical information on all things occult. The Latin root of  the word "Occult" translates to "hidden knowledge", this encompasses many different teachings/denominations. Examples being: videos on the history of the tarot,  biographies on famous occultists, features on various haunted places or famous historical/mystical sites, instructive videos on manifestation techniques/spell casting etc.
